Regular Meeting, “Birds Nest Botany” with Judith Sumner

Botanist Judith Sumner has lectured and taught nationally including at the N.Y. Botanical Gardens, the Arnold Arboretum and Garden in the Woods. She will explore various types of birds nests and the plant materials used to make them. These materials give the nests the ability to defy harsh weather and rigorous use and many have antibiotic and insecticidal properties. Join us for a fascinating look at nest form and function.
