Programs & Community
What our members take part in throughout the year — from talks and workshops to garden tours and civic projects.
Programs & Activities
The Lincoln Garden Club offers a full calendar of activities for every interest and skill level. Read on for a general sense of what's involved — then sign in to the Member Portal for dates, locations, and RSVP details for each one.
Speakers
Our monthly meetings feature guest speakers who share expertise on native plantings, ecological gardening, landscape design, and conservation. Talks are followed by coffee and conversation — a friendly way to learn from local growers, horticulturists, and fellow members.
Workshops
Hands-on sessions throughout the year cover topics like fall pruning, wreath-making, bulb planting, flower arranging, and seed starting. Workshops are led by experienced members and visiting experts, with materials and guidance provided.
Field Trips
We organize group outings to notable public and private gardens, specialty nurseries, and conservation sites. Trips are a chance to gather inspiration, source unusual plants, and enjoy the company of fellow gardeners beyond Lincoln.
My Garden Your Garden
Members open their own gardens for informal, member-led tours. It's our favorite tradition — a chance to swap plants, ask questions, and borrow design ideas from the gardens right next door.
Flower Shows & Exhibitions
Seasonal shows let members display their arrangements and prize blooms, with judged exhibits and friendly competitions. A celebration of the skill and creativity on display across our membership.
Civic & Community Projects
Members tend Station Park, arrange Library Flowers at the Lincoln Public Library, manage roadside plantings, and support beautification projects across town — bringing the Club's gardening knowledge out into the community.
Dates, locations & RSVP details
Specific dates, times, locations, parking, directions, and RSVP information for every program are kept inside the Member Portal. Members can sign in to browse the full calendar, view event details, and reserve a spot.
